I am currently reading and leading a bible study on the book LET. IT. GO. by Karen Ehman. I learned an amazing mathematical truth that applies to real life.
Here it is: there are several ways to get four. Yep! Just think about it: 3+1 = 4, 10-6=4, 7-3=4, 4+0=4, 5-1=4…and you get it.
Just because someone does something in a different way or takes a little longer to do it than I do does not mean I should swoop in a take-over. Even more importantly, I just might learn something from them.
So, this lovely Monday morning, use gentleness when dealing with others. Others could be your children, co-workers, sales clerks, or strangers. Resist the urge to control everything because things go better when they are done your way. You just may be surprised at what you can learn from God when you, LET. IT. GO!
